Need High Quality Diesel Parts?
A top-end overhaul addresses the cylinder head, valves, and gaskets without disassembling the lower block. This is appropriate when compression is poor, oil consumption is high, or head-related failures occur but the crankshaft and lower rotating components are within specification.
A full diesel engine rebuild involves complete disassembly, precision measurement of all components, replacement of worn parts to OEM specification, and reassembly. An in-frame rebuild is performed with the engine remaining in the equipment chassis; an out-of-frame rebuild removes the engine for full bench disassembly. We recommend out-of-frame rebuilds for the most thorough results.
Engine refurbishment falls between a repair and a full rebuild targeted replacement of high-wear components such as bearings, seals, gaskets, and injectors, combined with cleaning and inspection, to extend engine service life without a complete teardown. This is a cost-effective option when core engine components remain within tolerance.
Compression readings below OEM minimum across multiple cylinders
High oil consumption that persists after seal and gasket repairs
Excessive crankshaft bearing clearances confirmed by inspection
Repeated failures of the same components within short intervals
Engine has reached or exceeded its rated overhaul interval (hours or miles)
Major mechanical failure such as a thrown rod, spun bearing, or seized piston
Cost of ongoing repairs is approaching or exceeding rebuild cost
Our shop handles the full spectrum of diesel engine repair services from targeted fixes to complete diesel engine rebuilds.
Every component is disassembled, cleaned, and freed of carbon deposits, sludge, and contamination before measurement begins.
Bore gauges, micrometres, and surface plates are used to measure cylinder bores, crankshaft journals, rod bores, and valve seats against OEM specifications. All measurements are documented.
Cylinder boring and honing to accept oversized pistons or return to OEM bore
Crankshaft grinding, polishing, and undersize bearing fitting
Connecting rod reconditioning and small-end bushing replacement
Cylinder head resurfacing, valve seat grinding, and guide replacement
Flywheel resurfacing and balancing
Pistons, rings, and liners
Main and rod bearings
Camshaft and lifters
Timing components — gears, chains, tensioners
All gaskets, seals, and O-rings
Injectors, injection pump (as needed)
Water pump, thermostat, and cooling system components
Reassembly follows OEM torque specifications throughout. Post-rebuild run-in procedures are performed per engine manufacturer guidelines to seat rings and verify all systems operate correctly.
