After a major diesel repair or overhaul, you need proof your engine will perform under real conditions. At Diesel Specialists, LTD, our in-house diesel engine dyno testing verifies performance, reliability, and power output — so you can install with confidence.
Expert diagnostics and repairs, as well as complete overhauls for all types of industrial engines and generators.
Performance verification vs. spec - Confirm horsepower/torque curves and operating behavior match the expectations for your model and application.
Quality assurance before install - Catch issues like fueling, timing, cooling, and oil pressure while the engine is out - avoiding costly removal and downtime later.
Troubleshooting under load - Replicate real conditions to pinpoint problems that static tests can miss.
Documentation for your records -Receive a clear report you can keep with service history and maintenance planning.
What We Measure
Power & Torque
Peak horsepower and torque, full-RPM power/torque curves, and torque rise characteristics.
Temperatures (as applicable to your engine and test plan)
Coolant and oil temperature stability; exhaust gas temperature monitoring where supported.
Pressure & Flow
Oil pressure vs. RPM, boost pressure, and fuel pressure consistency.
Fuel & Operation
Fuel consumption under load, idle stability, and governor/response behavior as applicable.
(Additional instrumentation can be scoped in your quote if needed.)
